Birthday Beauty Haul

haul - Copy

I will admit, my birthday was quite some time ago now but I thought I would still post this haul as it is the most MAJOR haul that I have done in years! My purse was well and truly exhausted by the end of the day haha. I turned 23 years old this year and when I was younger I thought that people who were 23 were full blown adults and – well, I cannot even choose what lipstick shade to wear 😉 I did go a little crazy haha just a little (or more)! My excuse was my birthday – eep!

Too Faced Bronzer Palette: I have seen this so many times on Youtibe and got soo excited when I found out that Mecca Cosmetica had started selling this product. I will admit, it does look bigger in the Youtube videos – the bronzers are teeny tiny but you get so many that this will last you forever. It is more cost effective to choose one full sized product than to buy this palette. After some research – I found out that the one sold in the United States is huge compared to the one here in Aus. The sizes of each individual bronzer are basically sample sizes – this probably isn’t something that I would recommend.

Clarisonic Mia 2: I do have a review on my blog about the original ‘Mia’ Clarisonic but – this unfortunately took a tumble in the shower and BROKE. Aaaaand I didn’t have the receipt. I did have the Mia for a couple of years so I’m very sure the warranty would have expired but it was hard to see that go! I didn’t re-purchase a new one for about 12 months or so. These are fantastic BUT the price point is quite steep! That is the reason why I kept putting it off to re-purchase. I will for sure write a review about this one too. I am definitely so glad that I have this product back in my life! It works really well on my skin.

Stila Cream Contour: I have been hearing absolutely raving reviews about all kinds of cream contour and highlight products and I just have to try one out for myself! I have not yet used this product but will let you guys know how I go with it and if I find it as easy to use as everyone says! This product is VERY popular at Mecca Cosmetica in Australia – it is almost constantly sold out. I just had to pick this up.

Nars Creamy Concealer: If I had a dollar for every time that I heard someone rave about this product… 😀 This concealer seems to be soo many different bloggers holy grail concealer product of all time – I had to try! It is something that I have been considering purchasing for about 3 years now (its expensive in Aus!) and have finally bit the bullet and made the purchase. I still haven’t used it yet as I want to use up a couple of concealers first but am definitely excited to try it out!

Cargo Pink Blush: This is one of those super matte, super natural everyday pink shades. I have never tried anything from this brand but have heard that the blushes are quite nice and last a decent amount of time. I don’t by any means need any more blush but this was another purchase that was justified by my birthday!

Anastasia Dip brow: How hyped up has this product been? It has been ALL over Instagram, ALL over everyone’s blogs and ALL over Youtube. I have to put it to the rest! I haven’t opened this one yet (currently trying to get through the brow powder that I have opened) but I will definitely let you know my thoughts on it! Fingers crossed that this is actually my colour! I’m sure it will take me a couple of tries to work out a technique that works for me but definitely intrigued by this product!

MAC Mineralize Blush in Dainty: I am absolutely obsessed with this! I first saw it in person at a MAC counter about 8 months or so ago and it was love at first sight. I have been thinking about and considering this purchase for sooo long and whilst I was in the middle of my crazy birthday shopping spree – I picked this up too. I feel like I don’t even need to try any more blushes from MAC as this one is just so gorgeous – nothing will compare for me!

The conclusion is that I went absolutely insanneee with shopping for my birthday. BUT I have been going SO well with purging my collection, using up my products and staying away from cosmetic shops this year that I figured this was my treat J
