Bali Beauty Haul

bali

One of the things that I really wanted to do in Bali was check out the local pharmacy/drugstores and see what they had! I definitely found very interesting products and have found some new faves!

Ovale Face Paper: These are blotting papers which consist of 100 sheets per packet. The sheets themselves are about double the size of the Models Prefer ones. Not to mention – after conversion, these worked out to be about AUD $1.30 per packet. The Models Prefer blotting papers which have 50 sheets per packet are either $6 or $7 per packet. This is a HUGE difference. So what did I do? Went a little crazy and bought 20 packets. I went to the store one day – cleared out the shelf and then went back the next day and did the same thing. I can only imagine how long these will last! An absolute steal!!

Ponds Oil Control Cleansing Wipes: I have never actually tried anything from this brand. There are 7 wipes in this packet and it was less than AUD $2.00. I’m looking forward to trying these out!

Tiger Balm: This is another product that I have never tried but I have heard that it is a miracle worker. It is one of those all-round products and can be used on things such as bites and sore muscles. In Australia, this tiny little jar costs about $14.00 and I bought this for about AUD $1.00! I’m sure this product will definitely come in handy.

Garnier Sakura White Pinkish Radiance Mask: I bought this on a whim and because I got excited that I had found Garnier face masks. Something that I have never seen in Australia. I am not too sure if I will end up using this particular mask as it states ‘Intensive Whitening Mask’ – not too sure how ‘intensive’ this would be but don’t think that I want to risk changing the colour of my skin. I am already very pale and not too sure if a product like that would be harmful to your skin!

Garnier Light Complete Multi Action Whitening Peel-off Mask: Another whitening product – the back of this product states that it is a real ‘anti dull skin’ solution. Again, I’m not too sure about trying a whitening product on my face but definitely thought that these were interesting products! ‘Whitening’ masks, washes, moisturisers etc are in no shortage in Bali – they seem to be very popular products! You travel to Asia and you can find whitening products whilst here in Australia – we have hundreds of fake tanning products and solutions!

Garnier Oil Clear Self Heating Sauna Mask: Now THIS is a product that sounds perfect for my skin! So I ended up buying 2 packets at less than $2.00 each. This particular face mask promotes that it ‘purifies pores for 7 days’ – sounds interesting! I am really looking forward to testing this out and will definitely mention if it ends up working well.

Garnier Sakura White Pinkish Radiance Sleeping Essence: This is another interesting product – the ‘Sakura White’ ingredient is something that I saw quite often in beauty products and seems incredibly popular. The back of this product states; ‘It helps lighten skin tone, fade dark spots and refine skin texture’. I am quite curious to see how this product works and will test it out – maybe once a week though!

Rexona Deoderant: I ended up purchasing ‘advanced whitening’ in both roll on and speed stick version. This product actually worked amazingly. My almost 25 year old boyfriend used this product and it worked for 24 hours straight with no smell. THAT is saying something – considering it was at least 30 degrees Celsius each day! Kind of impossible not to get a little sticky and sweaty – just saying! But this product worked SO well and was extremely cheap compared to deodorant prices in Australia! I also picked up the ‘free spirit’ in the speed stick version. I have not yet tried this out but i’m sure it will work as well as a deodorant should.

Selection Facial Cotton: I decided to pick these up because they were ridiculously cheap and I’m hoping that they compare to the Swisspers Cotton Pads. I am yet to try these out but at less than $1 AUD – they were practically a steal!

Do you pick up beauty products when you travel? Have you ever tried any of the mentioned in this post? What have you bought lately? Let me know your thoughts!
